The RCIC-IRB advantage

Not every consultant can represent you before the IRB. We can.

The RCIC-IRB licence class is the highest level of authorization the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants grants. It allows Visoval to represent you not only before IRCC and CBSA, but also in hearings before the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada — the tribunal that decides refugee claims, appeals, and detention matters.

  • Refugee Protection Division claims & Basis of Claim preparation
  • Refugee Appeal Division (RAD) appeals
  • Detention reviews & admissibility hearings
  • Immigration appeals where authorized

Facing a hearing or a refusal?

Time limits before the IRB are strict and unforgiving. If you have received a refusal, a hearing notice, a detention review, or a procedural fairness letter, act quickly.

  • Deadlines can be as short as 15 days
  • Confidential, professional representation

Frequently asked questions

What is an RCIC, and why does it matter?
A Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) is licensed by the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC) to provide immigration advice and representation for a fee. Using a licensed consultant means your representative is regulated, insured, and accountable — unlike an unauthorized "ghost consultant."
What does the "IRB" part of RCIC-IRB mean?
The RCIC-IRB designation authorizes the consultant to also represent clients before the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada, including refugee claims, RAD appeals, detention reviews, and admissibility hearings. Not all consultants hold this authorization.
Which programs can you help me with?
Almost every area of Canadian immigration: visitor and Super Visas, study and work permits, Express Entry, BC PNP and other provincial programs, family sponsorship, LMIAs, citizenship, PR cards, humanitarian and compassionate applications, appeals, and refugee/IRB matters. See our Services page for the full list.
Do you offer a consultation before I commit?
Yes. We begin with a consultation to understand your situation and give you an honest assessment of your options. Book a consultation at our Vancouver or Surrey office, or remotely.
Can you guarantee my application will be approved?
No ethical, regulated consultant can guarantee an outcome — immigration decisions rest with IRCC, CBSA, and the IRB. What we guarantee is a complete, accurate, compliant application and diligent professional representation that gives your case its strongest chance.
